Dave’s command Christmas party is being held on Saturday, 12/10 at the hotel New Sanno. It’s an American hotel in Tokyo. Actually, it’s an American military hotel. To gain access, you must show your military ID or be escorted by a card carrying person. It’s about 1.5 hours by train away from our house. Here was our route (with 2 pieces of luggage).
Despite the distance, it’s totally worth it and amazing. It’s very American and acts as a nice oasis for a weekend in Tokyo.
We arrived Friday evening and explored the local area. The Christmas Party is Saturday. Please forgive me. My post this weekend might not fall in chronological order. Here are a few Christmas scenes from the hotel.
This hotel books up fast. When you visit, I will make plans for us to stay at least one night so we can explore Tokyo without having to go home. I’m looking forward to entertaining you!
